I plotted the number of beds for Covid 19 in the USA from October 17, 2020 until November 16, 2020. I got the data from USA HHS
As you can eyeball, rather quickly the bed count is increasing. In one month, beds went from 40K to 80K. One would expect, by December that would doublw again to 160K. Of course, State governments are adding restrictions.
Updated December 2, 2020. Now 100,000 beds.
