Guitar in the Arch shadow

I have been playing for some time now under the Arch by the stairway to the Mississippi river. The exact coordinates from Google maps are Latitude 38.62479534157054 North and Longitude 90.18429628548255 West. (You can actually paste in 38.62479534157054, -90.18429628548255 directly into Google maps and see where I have been playing).

The Gateway Arch Foundation in their wisdom have decided to make the riverside and the stairway an recreational exercise destination called “Rockin the Riverfront”. To accomplish this, they have put some muscle building equipment down by the river — a slanted rest for abs sit up crunches. And some very large speakers playing some very loud music. Think Cher singing autotune “Is there Life after Love?”

You know I can’t compete with that. I just can’t put out that decibel level. (see my posting https://nick-strauss.com/?p=2502comparing my guitar playing with Trump’s rallies). And I can’t play 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. But “Rockin the Riverfront” can.

You know, I can still be found. I am underneath a shade tree playing my songs. From 10:30 – 11:30 am.
